Climate and Location: Moravia San Jose, Costa Rica.

San Vicente de Moravia and surrounding areas are located at an elevation of 1396 meters above sea level, which provides the area with fresh, spring-like weather year round. The average temperature is 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature in the urban zone is rarely lower than 59 degrees Fahrenheit, but in the mountain areas the temperatures can be a bit lower during the rainy season.

The population of Moravia is approximately 60,000 people. The city became a canton of the San Jose province on July 31st, 1914, and Moravia recently celebrated its centennial in 2014. Other cantons surrounding Moravia are Tibás, Goicoechea, Santo Doming and San Isidro, the last two belonging to the province of Heredia.
