Climate and Location

Like all of Guanacaste, Playa Panama is warm year round. Temperatures are usually in the low 80 degrees Fahrenheit, but can peak in the low to mid 90s during the hottest months of March and April. At night, things cool off to around 70 degrees. Guanacaste has a drier climate than the Central Valley or the Southern Coast, and the humidity level is lower. However, sunny mornings followed by rainy afternoons can be expected during the green season, particularly during the months of September and October.

Views are what make Playa Panama and the surrounding area so renowned. Playa Panama in particular features glassy, blue waters with dark sandy beaches. Its long coastline makes it a great location to walk, run, and swim in the refreshing waters. This place is truly photo ready and the ideal spot for unforgettable ocean views.

Playa Panama is located less than two miles away north of Playa Hermosa.  Paved roads make it easy to access the beach and surrounding towns through Liberia.  The Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport is less than 20 miles away.
