This public university is located right in the heart of San Pedro. Long regarded as the most prestigious university in Costa Rica, it is also the best research institution in Central America.
American International School
This private school is accredited by both Costa Rica’s Ministry of Education and the United State’s South Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers both the American and Costa Rican diplomas to students. The American International School is located in Cariari, just outside San Jose.
