Curridabat, Costa Rica

The east side of San Jose city is regarded throughout Costa Rica as one of the nicest parts of the country. Curridabat is found within the same named canton or province along with three other districts: Granadilla, Sanchez and Tirrases. Of all four districts, Curridabat is certainly the standout. Its plush and posh homes are designed with all the comforts one could imagine. Shopping centers, malls, markets, and sports clubs cater to the needs of Curridabat residents.

This suburb is close enough to the big city of San Jose for easy, regular access, but far enough away from the smog and stress of the capital. Its prime location not only brings in new Tico residents regularly, but also those wanting to invest in Costa Rica.

Real Estate and Vacation Rental Offerings

Curridabat real estate offers just about everything. Here, you’ll find grander homes, lots and condominiums than San Jose. It’s not uncommon to see houses built in traditional North American or European styles. Smaller, Costa Rican style homes are available. However, comfort and elegance reign supreme in Curridabat. Many homes come equipped with 24/7 security, Jacuzzis, pools, and grand balconies. Gated communities are becoming common place in this area as well.

Being that Curridabat is largely residential, you won’t find as many vacation rentals. However, there are plenty of homes, apartments and condominiums for rent. Many include the amenities of the United States at a fraction of the price.
