Location and Climate

Situated on the outskirts of the capital of San Jose, Escazu offers airplane-like views over the city.  When San Jose lights up at night, the effect on Escazu residents is mesmerizing.   Escazu is located less than 11 miles from The Juan Santa Maria International Airport.  Thus, grabbing a flight back home to visit friends and family is never a problem when living in Escazu. 

The weather is consistent, about 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit year-round, 60-65 degrees Fahrenheit at night, and never humid. The “official” wet season in Escazu is May through November, although the last few years have seen only about four weeks of rain.  During the wet season, the mornings are typically clear, with the rain appearing in the afternoon, lasting for a few hours, and ending just in time for the soccer games start. Fans of La Liga de Ascenso appreciate that.
