The property consists of 1.57 hectares (3.9 acres) on the Pacific slope of the Tilarán mountains, less than a kilometer from the continental divide and the northeast border of the province of Puntarenas.

The property is framed by a mountain stream (Quebrada Santamaría) with 2 waterfalls and a forested hillside to the east, a gravel agricultural easement (servumbre agricola) to the west, and a magnificent view of the Gulf of Nicoya to the southwest. It offers two comfortable homes surrounded by wildlife, numerous gardens, and extensive lawns and windbreaks. The town of Santa Elena is 2.5 kilometers to the south.

The three-bedroom main house is 223 m2 and is open plan on the first floor with large "floor to ceiling" windows that provide the feeling of always being outdoors. The first floor has a great room with a wood stove and a large kitchen with an island, pantry, dishwasher, and hood over the stove. A small dining room adjoins the kitchen and faces the view of the gulf.

The spacious master bedroom has a dressing room, bathroom with bath and shower, a small private terrace and magnificent views of the forest and gardens through large windows. A second bedroom opens to the hall and adjoins the second bathroom with a shower. It also has a small deck that is surrounded by gardens. Both first floor bedrooms have sliding glass doors that open onto small individual covered terraces. There is an open office area at the top of the stairs with a spectacular view of the Gulf of Nicoya. On the second floor is the third bedroom with a half bath and a wonderful view of the gardens and a wooded mountainside. Ample storage space is available in the 'attic'.

The smaller house is 101 m2 and has a floor plan similar to the first floor of the main house. It is on one level with two bedrooms and a bathroom and a half.

The kitchen has an island, pantry, gas stove and electric oven, and hood. The main bathroom has a shower and bathtub; the half bath is separate from the laundry room. Next to the utility room there is also a secure storage room. The "master bedroom" has 2 large windows overlooking the Gulf of Nicoya. Both bedrooms are similar in size and have ample closet space.
