Potrero Grande is the third district of Buenos Aires, an up and coming eco-friendly area.  The residents of Potrero Grande participate in a new region wide recycling project.  There are 8822 people residing in Potrero Grande’s many villages, such as Alto Tigre, Coto Brus, Paso Real, Tablas, Mirador, and Vueltas.  Attractions in the area include Chirripo National Park and La Amistad International Park, a large park that is shared by Costa Rica and Panama.

The nearest international airport is the Juan Santamaria International Airport, which is found 152 miles away.  The closest domestic one is called Buenos Aires Airport (BAI).  This one is only 22 miles away from Potrero Grande.

The average temperature range is 75-88 degrees Fahrenheit year round.  The only true rainy season is in May, though there are brief showers throughout the whole year.  The nearest coast is on the Pacific side of the country, 44 miles away.  It takes just an hour to drive there, because the roads are in good condition.
