Casa Gardenia: A Boutique Jungle Home In The Hills Above Playa Dominical

This 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms home is newly remodeled in 2019 and has a mid-century modern vibe. Casa Gardenia is close to coastal activities such as surfing in Playa Dominical (15 min drive), Uvita, exploring the Marino Ballena National Park, Nauyaca Waterfalls, and Hacienda Baru Wildlife Refuge.

There are two grocery stores, a bakery, butcher, and an organic farmers market just a few minutes up the road, as well as two restaurants. The house features a large open living room with high ceilings and lots of windows peering into the jungle. The bright, open kitchen has high-quality stainless steel appliances, including a gas oven & range, dual refrigerator with water filter, and ice dispenser.

The open floor plan allows you to still be in the mix with your friends/family while you're cooking up a storm, working remotely, or entertaining. This house has a fiber-optic internet connection, which is the best internet available. All three bedrooms come with ceiling fans and custom wood closets.

The nights at this elevation (about 1000ft) are quite cool. The house has two on-demand water heaters giving you plenty of hot water for showers and washing. You'll have amazing mountain views from the upstairs balcony where you can watch the sunset glow in the afternoon. You will also have beautiful jungle and wildlife scenery from every room in the house. It is common to see a variety of birds, and sometimes even monkeys if you wake up early!

We’ve had alone Mono Titi as a yearly visitor for 3 years now. The neighboring property is a 30-acre organic farm producing a number of different vegetables. The farm also raises sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, and rabbits. All of which are available for purchase direct from the farm. The owner is very accommodating with neighbors enjoying the farm.

The house is conveniently located just off the main road, making access easy (no 4x4 needed). You may also hear vehicles pass by on the road that winds down to the beach, depending on the time and day of the week.
