Schools and Education

The Country Day School (“CDS”) is the most popular school for expats living in Escazu. The Country Day School provides an American High School Diploma for international students, and also offers advanced placement courses, sports teams, and extracurricular classes and activities to students ages 2-17.

Home-Two is another private school that is well liked, offering daycare and kindergarten for young children. Home-Two is a Montessori-accredited school with a philosophy that allows students the freedom to learn in the way that is best for them within the confines of a prepared environment.

Finally, the Blue Valley School is located in Escazu.  The Blue Valley School is a Montessori-accredited school which operates on both a Costa Rica calendar and a United States calendar.  The Blue Valley School accepts children from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. 

The Country Day School, Home-Two, and Blue Valley School all offer bilingual education.
