Climate and Location of Curridabat, Costa Rica.

Curridabat is found on the southeast side of San Jose. It is located only approximately five miles from the city limits. Cartago is eleven miles from Curridabat, making for easy access to either of the major cities. With well paved roads and regular public transportation, getting to Curridabat from San Jose or the surrounding area is a breeze.

 

Besides being close to San Jose and Cartago, Curridabat is also within driving distance to popular beaches. Quepos and Manuel Antonio can be reached within around two and half hours, making them excellent options for a weekend getaway. If you crave ocean views and beachfront homes, a vacation home could easily be maintained in either of these nearby beach towns.

 

Climate

The San Jose province is generally warmer and sunnier than the nearby Cartago. You won’t encounter the intense heat like Guanacaste or the humidity of Limon. In fact, the weather is fairly steady all year long with the exception of the rainiest months, September and October. Expect temperatures around the low to mid-seventies during the summer, which lasts from December to early May. Things cool off a bit during the rainy season, dipping into the upper sixties.

 

It’s hard to find a place in Costa Rica without a gorgeous view. Curridabat is no exception to this rule. The combination of natural beauty and panoramic city views make the vistas of Curridabat unforgettable.
