Schools and Education

International students attend one of two private schools in Nosara: Del Mar Academy and HSBA academy.

Del Mar uses the Montessori teaching approach and covers nutrition and health, multicultural environments, English and Spanish Language, music and movement, creative art, and natural science through classroom exercises and plenty of excursions in nature. They offer education to students from preschool until seventh grade.

HSBA Academy offers education to children from kindergarten to twelfth grade. Classes are taught bilingually, which gives children the opportunity to become fluent in Spanish while living in a Spanish speaking country. The curriculum covers Math, Science, Languages, Social Studies, and art and classes take field trips often.
