Climate and Location: Batan, Costa Rica.
Batán is located on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Batán is only 90 miles from SJO Airport and only 28 miles from the domestic airport in Limon, making travel extremely easy for residents. Batán is part of Matina, Limon, and is just 3.5 miles from the center of Matina, with larger banks and a greater variety of churches. The town is largely surrounded by agriculture and cattle farms, though the town itself is more suburban.
The average temperature is a cool 70 to 84. The rainy season is not clearly defined, though July usually has slightly more rain than other months. The frequent short showers throughout the year create vibrant jungle scenery in every direction.
