Climate and Location

Ojochal lies just 20 minutes south of the Central Pacific coastal town of Dominical. The town itself is tucked in the mountains, but a number of beautiful beaches are located just a few minutes-drive away. When arriving from abroad, travelers often opt to fly into either of Costa Rica's major international airports, in San Jose and in Liberia, then hop on a smaller plane that will bring them to the nearby Palmar Sur. Interestingly, Costa Rica is home to the world's first carbon neutral airline, Nature Air, which flies to Palmar Sur and about a dozen other destinations throughout the country.
