Marina Flamingo is the anchor of Costa Rica’s Gold Coast — the only full-service marina between Marina Papagayo to the north and Los Sueños to the south, set in a sheltered bay on the edge of downtown Playa Flamingo. The marina today

The marina offers 184 slips and floating docks engineered for everything from center-console sportfishers to megayachts of roughly 40 meters (125 feet), placing it among the most capable marinas in the country. Safety and service are constant: 24/7 security, an on-site Coast Guard station, customs, and emergency services. For owners and crew there is a helipad, concierge service, a members’ VIP club with a rooftop pool, a ship’s store, multi-level parking, and full restroom and shower facilities. Day-to-day operations are run by F3 Marina, an international marina operator.

The Marina Village

Anchoring the waterfront is the Marina Village — a walkable cluster of oceanfront dining, boutiques, and everyday services. Its landmark multi-story building holds commercial space on the lower floors and 40 fully furnished one- to three-bedroom villas above, available for short- and long-term lease with marina or downtown views. Tenants have included a medical clinic, a bank, restaurants, a coffee-and-bookshop, a marine-supply store, and lifestyle boutiques, making the village a destination in its own right. From your slip, you can walk straight into the heart of Flamingo and its restaurants, shops, and hotels.

Location and access

Marina Flamingo sits on the east side of downtown Flamingo, in a protected bay off Playa Potrero — calm water and an easy in-and-out. It is about an hour’s drive (roughly 42 km / 26 miles) from Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, the closest international gateway on the Gold Coast.

For decades Flamingo has been a launch point for sportfishing, scuba, and sunset cruises. The marina ends the old routine of wading into the surf to reach a boat and has opened the water to everyone, including older and less-mobile visitors. It also draws international fleets, hosting tournaments such as the Presidential Flamingo Fishing Rodeo.
