Climate and Location

Punta Islita is located in the southwestern coast of Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula, right along the Pacific Ocean. Most visitors stick to the favored destinations of Tamarindo, Playa del Coco, or Samara to the north, or Mal Pais or Montezuma to the south. With little development in the area, those looking for a remote, private getaway when investing in Costa Rica will be delighted with the understated Punta Islita. A local airstrip makes it possible to arrive from either of Costa Rica's international airports with just a quick flight. Traveling via car to Liberia, the Guanacaste region's largest city and home to the Daniel Oduber International Airport, takes approximately 2 hours. Travel to San Jose, the capital, takes no more than 4 hours.
