Climate and Location
Simply put, the climate of San Jose (and of the Central Valley, generally) can’t be beat. San Jose lies within a tropical rainforest in Costa Rica’s Central Valley, but its high elevation offers the city a mild climate year round. Temperatures range between 63 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit. The city has a rainy season and a dry season. The rainy season lasts from May to November, where one can find mild sunny mornings and light showers in the afternoons. As for the dry season, in San Jose rain (as opposed to the Pacific coast), rain can fall and is welcomed by the locals to keep the fields green and gardens lush.
