Pital, Costa Rica
Life in Pital is not about business or schedules, it’s about caring for one another. The dirt roads are quaint and remind one of an easier, earlier time. The village is home to 2,000 people, most of whom farm and know each other. Pineapple farms line many of the streets, and the residents get to enjoy the finished product in a variety of creative forms, including pineapple pizza, pineapple ice cream, pineapple yogurt, and pineapple smoothies.
Real Estate in Pital
Pital is an ecologically minded town that has used local woods and stones in the structure and design of most homes in the area, making the whole town look like it is natural and one with its surroundings. Since the mountains are breathtaking, most homes located here have large windows to take advantage of the stunning views. Properties in Pital often feature mature fruit trees, including mangoes, oranges, limes, and grapefruits that prosper in the rich volcanic soil.
Vacation rental homes are not popular in the area, but there are hotels in the area that charge between $60 and $120 per night. Investment properties include farms or existing hotels or that can be renovated for an increased profit.
